“Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own; and from morning to night, as from the cradle to the grave, it is but a succession of changes so gentle and easy that we can scarcely mark their progress.” – Charles Dickens

On Friday 16th March in Shanghai, Alfred Dunhill will host ‘Trafalgar’ a global event presenting the House collection to 1000 guests.

‘Trafalgar’ the 2012 global Brand presentation. Following in the footsteps of ‘Momentary’ New York, 2010 and ‘Home’ London, 2011.

Trafalgar is the 3rd annual exhibition in the form of installation and unique presentation, which will showcase the elegance of the brand. Replicating the correlation of Bristish nature and style, combining all four seasons of the year as if composed over a single day. Hosted in Shanghai, creative energy and vivacity which drives our ambition for it to be showcased as a principal destination for Fashion and Luxury.

In today’s global culture of instant information and ubiquitous technology, of pace, of speed, of immediacy and convenience the modern developing environment. But with the knowledge that was formed over generations, what he wears and how he wears it speaks of someone in sync with the rhythm of a grander, more harmonious force – that of nature.

So Uni is finally over... even though i finished ages ago lots was still going on such as grad fashion week. I stopped wearing high street suits a few years back as my arms and legs are to long even if i let the sleeves and legs down. So at the start of this year when i started to look for a graduation suit i could not find anything so i set about looking for an alternative and this is it!

I felt the need to put this up just because i'm so happy with it. This suit is the culmination for a best part of a years work... well picking materials, fit, style and so on.

Photobucket

The suit is a classic 3 button dark grey thorn proof. Teamed up with claret cashmere Norton & Sons tie (Tied in a basic knot as i has an Oxford on and if i tied a Windsor knot it would puff up the collar to much) and slight pattered pocket square.

The shoes where a work in progress i got some J shoes brogues but the colour was to light so i made a mix of ox blood and brown polish to give it a rich colour. I would recommend this to anyone, minimum effort with amazing results.

I was back at uni today to have a look round the other shows. I had heard mumblings of 2 guys making a motorbike on the first floor... and well its TRUE. Thomas Kasher and Roy Norton have made a Triumph/Barbour concept bike... and its incredible!

Well worth going to look at the Northumbria show if your in Newcastle!

This is something that my mate james passed on to me today... its perfect... the motion and music work perfectly. Not only that the colour pallet in the film is something i don't see that often and i applaud it.

This just shows how a location can change so much within a short film. Antony Crooks other stuff is definitely worth checking out.

___Levi's "Buy Now, Wear Forever"___

This is just a short that i did for my final Uni project entitled "Buy Now, Wear Forever". Its nice actually getting to film something interesting... i have all the time in the world to film and edit but its the content i struggle on finding. Anyway 3 weeks back me and a 9 strong team set out with smoke grenades and 3 cars and this is the end result...

Thanks again to all the guys that helped on the night could not have done it without you.

Also if anyone need a hand with filming or editing give me a shout im more then happy to help out.

___Tanner Goods___

I have had this a while... and these pics are from when i first got it... so around 5 weeks back ish. I needed a replacement for the one i got free with my wetsuit, so thats like 6 years back now. Anyway this is amazing i dont know how i lived without it its strong as hell (i sat on a bench and the keys went under the seat and got stuck somehow... long story short i tried to get up and my jeans ripped and the seat came with me)

___Northern Press___

Just a small short i put together tonight:

___End Hunting Co.___

I have not updated for a while but thats due to getting my new camera (Canon 550D) and just messing around with it a lot. I went over to End Hunting today with james and took a few shots in our 20 min stay and knocked this short together in 20 mins at home so its a little rough.

So this is just this is a short seeing what i can do with what i have... much more to come!

Thanks to the guys at End and End Hunting Co. for letting me film.

___Swatch Watch & Lee Storm Rider___

Photobucket

I have known about the Storm Rider for a while now. Its only recently when I saw a Swatch watch collaboration with WAD (Pictured Above) that I saw a variation on the design of the classic that I loved.

Lee is a staple denim design alongside Levi’s. The Storm Rider has been warn and made famous by the likes of Steve McQeen and Clint Eastwood.

Photobucket

I was drawn to the storm rider due to the blanket liken inside that allows for a breathable but incredibly warm jacket (I have a Levi’s sheep skin but that is ridiculously warm).

Photobucket

The best part of the jacket is the brown cord collar that accents the denim beautifully (it is very rare to fined a Storm Rider with such a nice colour without buying new).

___L.L.Bean Kingfield Slippers___

Ok I know winter is over and that big slippers are not what you need right now. If you live in Newcastle aka all year round winter except for a 5 day brake over the summer when its warm, then you will understand. The slippers themselves are amazing not only are they the warmest things I own.

Photobucket

L.L.Bean was founded in 1912 and was started to stock hunters and fishermen with hardware via mail order. But in today’s swollen market of fast (crap) fashion they are a staple you should take advantage of due to there hardwearing goods particularly there hunting boots and brushed cotton shirts.

Photobucket

The body of the slipper is a knit of breathable soft wool with a suede bottom that I must say has surprisingly pretty good grip so if you have a house with cold floors then these slippers are for you!
